NDIS 2020 year in review
The NDIS Quarterly Report released today now provides a complete picture for 2020 NDIS data.
The Hon Stuart Robert MP issued a media release stating that the latest data demonstrates that the NDIS adapted well to the challenges 2020 brought, indeed it added and refined supports and is continuing to deliver increasingly beneficial outcomes to participants and providers.
A few takeaway points include:
- 93,500 new participants were welcomed into the NDIS in 2020
- The number of younger people in aged care has reduced by 22% over the past two years
- 100% of access decisions and plan reviews are now being made within 21 days
- Average payments per participant increased by 9 percent – from $47,800 to $52,300 in 2020
